Block-it had a niche product with potential throughout Scandinavia, but an online store that was not set up to sell internationally. It lacked the right payment solutions for each market, the store existed only in one language, and the setup for international shipping with correct VAT handling (IOSS) was not in place.
Solution
The merchant delivered a complete redesign of the online store with a focus on conversion. Payment solutions with Vipps, MobilePay, Visa, and Mastercard were set up. Bring integration with the IOSS number was configured for international shipping to Sweden and Denmark. An international online store structure was established with separate market settings, and the store was translated into Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish.

A niche product with international potential
Block-it sells a product that is relevant for everyone who knits socks, and it is a large and active category throughout Scandinavia. To reach these customers, the store needed to speak to them in the right language, accept the correct payment methods, and offer reliable shipping.
Redesign for conversion
The merchant started with a complete visual overhaul. The product pages were redesigned with clear product images, a clear size guide, and a simple purchasing flow. Payment icons and shipping information were added to reduce uncertainty at checkout.
Three markets, three languages
An international online store structure was set up in Shopify with separate market settings for Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. The store was translated into Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish with local currencies and pricing levels.
Payment methods and international shipping
Vipps was set up for Norwegian customers, MobilePay for Danish and Swedish customers, in addition to Visa and Mastercard for all markets. The Bring integration was configured with an IOSS number for VAT-compliant shipping to Sweden and Denmark: a technical prerequisite for legal international e-commerce from Norway.
