Challenge
Cavvalure was running several different product templates with inconsistent layouts, and the store didn't reflect the brand's British luxury positioning. Without a unified design foundation, it was hard to build a cohesive, editorial shopping experience, and photography for the new collection wasn't ready yet.
Solution
Merchant began with a full theme migration to a new premium Shopify theme, with global brand settings for color, typography, buttons and spacing. The homepage, collection pages and a single, dynamic product page template with metafields for size guide, materials and fit, plus a color-variant system, were built from the ground up. Four editorial brand pages (Our Story, The House of Cavvalure, Contact Us and Journal) were built as content-led experiences. While Cavvalure's own product photography was still in progress, Merchant produced AI-generated lifestyle imagery for the homepage and editorial sections, and contributed conversion-focused copywriting for product and brand pages with SEO built in from the start.
A British luxury heritage deserves a store that feels just as considered.
Merchant built Cavvalure up from a new theme: a unified product page, editorial brand pages, and AI-generated imagery to carry the store until the new collection is photographed.
Several product templates, one vision
Cavvalure had outgrown its original setup: multiple product templates with inconsistent layouts made the shopping experience uneven, and the store wasn't built to carry the brand's British luxury positioning.
A new theme platform and brand foundation
Merchant didn't start with a patchwork of tweaks, but with a complete migration to a new premium Shopify theme. Color palette, typography scale, button hierarchy and spacing system were configured globally to match the approved mockup, alongside restructured navigation across the main menu, footer and mobile drawer.
One product page for the whole collection
The previous multiple product templates were consolidated into a single dynamic template that uses Shopify Metafields to surface product-specific details, such as size guide, material composition and fit, without needing separate templates per product type. A color-variant system lets customers navigate between colors via visual swatches.
Editorial brand pages
Four brand and editorial pages were built as content-led experiences: Our Story tells the brand's history and craft, The House of Cavvalure communicates values and aesthetic through imagery, Contact Us gives a clean contact experience, and Journal collects editorial articles in its own template.
AI-generated imagery to keep momentum
Since the client's own product photography wasn't ready yet, Merchant produced AI-generated lifestyle imagery for the homepage and editorial sections, art-directed to the British luxury aesthetic, as a stopgap until new photography is ready for the final swap.
Copywriting and technical SEO from the ground up
Merchant contributed conversion-focused copywriting for product descriptions and led the storytelling on the brand pages, while the entire store was built with solid technical SEO foundations from day one.
