Maskedrømmen's knitting kits require customers to choose the right size and the right yarn color from the right yarn series, sometimes across two series in a single kit. Without a custom solution this had to be handled manually, risking wrong yarn quantities, wrong pricing, and extra work sending patterns after every purchase.
Solution
Merchant built a custom product solution in Maskedrømmen's Shopify store where the customer first picks a size, then a yarn color from the matching yarn series, with support for designs combining two yarn series. Recommended yarn quantity is filled in automatically based on size, adjustable within a defined minimum and maximum, while the total price updates live based on the actual yarn price. After purchase, the matching pattern is automatically emailed as a PDF at no extra cost. The solution is built directly on the store's existing yarn products, so stock levels always stay accurate. Maskedrømmen also got an admin tool and a training video so they can add new designs themselves going forward.

Knitting kits that need more than a standard product picker
Every Maskedrømmen design can be knitted in multiple sizes and yarn colors, and some designs combine yarn from two different series in the same kit. Handling this manually for every purchase was both time-consuming and error-prone.

The right amount and the right price, automatically
Recommended yarn quantity fills in automatically based on the chosen size, with the customer able to adjust it within a predefined minimum and maximum. The total price is calculated live from the actual yarn price multiplied by the chosen quantity.
The pattern, straight to the inbox
Immediately after purchase, the matching pattern is automatically emailed as a PDF, at no extra cost to the customer and no manual work for Maskedrømmen.

The solution is built directly on the store's existing yarn products, so stock levels always stay accurate without duplicate updates. Maskedrømmen also got an admin tool and a training video, so new designs can be added in-house going forward.
