Abonera had a smart concept and a loyal customer base, but a product page that did not optimize the purchasing flow effectively. The subscription discounts were not communicated clearly enough, the upsell system lacked structure, and the email automation for subscription customers was not set up. There was no review strategy.

The merchant redesigned the product page with a clear 3-step purchasing flow, visual quantity discounts, and a clear CTA hierarchy. Rebuy was set up for product page upsell and cart upsell for upgrading to 10 and 15 packs. Klaviyo was integrated with Loop with complete subscription flows. An automated review strategy via Loox/Judge.me with a kr. 50 discount incentive was implemented. All solutions documented and made editable without coding knowledge.

The Purchase Flow that Determines Everything
For a subscription product, the product page is critical. The customer should choose socket type, size, number of packages, and purchase type (one-time purchase or subscription) and understand along the way why a subscription is the smartest choice. The merchant designed a clear 3-step purchase flow with visual boxes for size selection and a clear highlight of the subscription discount.
Upsell and Quantity Discounts with Rebuy
Rebuy was implemented to present the right upgrades at the right time. A customer with one 5-pack in the shopping cart is automatically offered a 10- or 15-pack. The quantity discounts are visually displayed in the purchase flow, and the rules are set up consistently across variants.
Klaviyo Integration with Loop
Subscriptions require precise email flows. The merchant set up Klaviyo with integration to Loop with flows for all key events: gift card subscription, expired gift cards, payment failures, customers who have unsubscribed, number of deliveries, and the distinction between one-time purchases and subscribers. Also included: email opt-in popup and installation of behavioral analytics (Hotjar).
Review Strategy and Documentation
An automated review flow ensures that all customers receive an email 7 days after purchase with an offer of kr. 50 discount upon completing a review. All custom solutions were documented, and sections were made editable in Shopify without the need for coding knowledge.
