Challenge

Hotsaus sold to consumers but lacked the infrastructure to sell to business customers, such as restaurants and retail outlets, with their own pricing and ordering flow. The store also wasn't built to handle both B2B and regular retail within the same visual identity, and checkout could be faster.

Solution

Merchant activated new Shopify customer accounts tailored for B2B, with a registration form for business customers, a dedicated B2B page, customer-specific pricing across up to three price groups, buyer roles and order history. A test order was run through a test company to verify pricing and checkout flow before launch. At the same time, the entire store was redesigned with a new theme that highlights Hotsaus's orange brand color, with conversion-optimised elements and a company switcher that lets the B2B view work seamlessly within the same store. Vipps Hurtigkasse was installed for faster checkout, and Hotsaus received a training session on managing the new B2B system.

One store, two customer groups.

Hotsaus needed a solution that served both consumers and business customers without building two separate stores. Merchant combined a full redesign with new B2B functionality to make that happen.

Two customer groups, one store

Hotsaus already sold well to consumers, but kept getting requests from restaurants and retail outlets wanting to buy in bulk at their own pricing. Without B2B infrastructure, these requests had to be handled manually, outside the store.

B2B accounts, pricing and ordering

Merchant activated new Shopify customer accounts tailored for B2B use, with a registration form for business customers and a dedicated B2B page. Logged-in business customers see customer-specific pricing and order history, with support for buyer roles and up to three price groups. A test order was run through a test company to verify pricing, payment terms and checkout flow before launch.

A redesign built around the brand

The store was redesigned from the ground up, with a new theme that highlights the orange color from Hotsaus's logo and implements conversion-optimised elements such as clear purchase paths and shipping information. The design ensures the B2B view, including a company switcher and catalogue-based pricing, works seamlessly for business customers within the same store.

Faster checkout with Vipps Hurtigkasse

Vipps Hurtigkasse was installed and configured to give customers a simpler, faster checkout experience.

Ready to manage in-house

Hotsaus received a training session on how the new B2B system works in Shopify, including managing business customers, pricing and orders, so the team can run the solution themselves going forward.
