SC-Sport is the Norwegian distributor of Schreuders Sport, a Dutch company that supplies sports and leisure products to the Norwegian market. The store offers products from over 20 brands, including Abbey, Avento, Bauer, Canterbury, and Nijdam, in sports, games, camping, and leisure.

SC-Sport operated a WooCommerce store with a wide range of products that required automatic synchronization of price and stock status from the supplier Schreuders Sport. Manual product updates were not scalable, and the platform did not meet the demands of Norwegian customers in terms of payment or logistics.

Solution

The merchant completed a total migration from WooCommerce to Shopify with a full transfer of products, customers, orders, categories, redirect links, and discount codes. Automatic synchronization of price and inventory status from the supplier was set up. Vipps Checkout, accounting integration via E-Monkey to PowerOffice, and shipping setups were implemented. The store was delivered turnkey for takeover.

Switching platforms is risky when you have years of customer data, orders, and SEO value to maintain. SC-Sport switched without losing anything.

Distribution model requiring automation

SC-Sport is the distributor, not the manufacturer. This means that pricing and inventory status are controlled by the supplier Schreuders Sport and can change frequently. Manually updating this for a wide product range was not a sustainable solution. Automatic synchronization was a requirement, not a feature.

Migration without data loss

Merchant migrated all existing data from WooCommerce to Shopify: products with correct categorization, customer profiles, order history, discount codes, and redirect links to preserve the SEO value that had been built up. The process was carried out without downtime on the existing store.

Norwegian payment and logistics integrations

Vipps Checkout was implemented as the primary payment method for Norwegian customers. The E-Monkey integration with PowerOffice ensures that orders automatically end up correctly in the accounting. The shipping setup was configured for Norwegian distribution and automatic calculation.

Turnkey for takeover

The project was delivered turnkey, the SC-Sport team took over a fully configured store with all systems connected and ready for use. No technical onboarding, no loose ends.
